Aloha from Redding California (I'll explain later),
I pray all of you had a wonderful holiday. After being off for a few days, I know all of you are ready and hungry to do lots of school work. :)
First, 4 Typing Tests and give the avg. to the Sub, have her write them down next to your name on the attendance sheet.
Next, I want you to make a very simple PowerPoint presentation. I want to see how well you know PowerPoint. (If you know how to use PowerPoint great! If not well then you might want to partner up with someone who does and watch them first before you start your own. Please stay on task. Keep in mind you are now using Office 2003 and this PowerPoint is little bit different then Office XP, but those of you who have used PowerPoint before you should have no problem.)
The PowerPoint presentation is going to be on your favorite subject. It could be on: cars, games, horses, dogs, cats, anything that you really like. But keep in mind; it has to be all about one subject. (Hint: Maybe the same subject as those websites you shared with the class a few weeks ago.)
1. Has to be 15-20 slides.
2. Each Slide has to include, at least one photograph, an explanation of each photograph (no less then 10 words no more then 25 words.
3. Each slide must have at least one animation, and one sound. (Keep is simple, yet meaningful)
4. The PowerPoint presentation must be coherent.
5. We will be sharing these in class on this Friday.
6. Remember this is just to see how much you know about PowerPoint. So if you want, impress me, if not then don't worry about perfection.
This project won't be due until Friday December 3, 2004 but if you finish early today you may use that time as a study hall or free-on task-time in the PC Lab. Have fun.
See you tomorrow.
Mr. G
